Brackenridge's Last Title Run Was 1962

San Antonio program chasing first championship in 62 years

San Antonio Brackenridge won its most recent state title in 1962, when the Mighty Eagles defeated Borger 30-26 in the 4A final. That championship came 15 years after the program's first title in 1947, giving Brackenridge two UIL state crowns across its history.

With six decades between that last trophy and now, the Mighty Eagles enter the new season looking to end one of the longest championship droughts in program history. Brackenridge's 1962 team remains the standard bearers for a program searching for its next deep playoff run.
