Ranger Bulldogs Chase First Title Since 1953
Program's lone state championship came 71 years ago with a 34-21 win over Luling in 1A.
Ranger won its only state football title in 1953, when the Bulldogs defeated Luling 34-21 in the 1A championship game. That single crown remains the program's signature achievement across seven decades.
As the Bulldogs prepare for the new season, that 1953 standard stands as the measuring stick for a program still chasing its next state title.
