Corpus Christi Miller chasing first title since 1960
The program's lone championship came 64 years ago with a 13-6 win over Wichita Falls.
Corpus Christi Miller won its only state title in 1960, when the team defeated Wichita Falls 13-6 in the 4A championship game. That remains the program's high-water mark across more than six decades.
As the Buccaneer enter the new season, that distant championship serves as both inspiration and reminder of what's possible. The UIL record books show no state hardware since that victory nearly two-thirds of a century ago.
